Exploring Playa Hermosa- Day 1

We woke up to this amazing view on our first full day in Playa Hermosoa...

Wow, I'm in heaven! After taking it all in for a few minutes, we ventured off in "the bucket" (what we nicknamed our 2006 standard shift Peugot) courtesy of Hertz Rental Car. Also known as a piece of crap. We headed into Playa Hermosa for some much needed coffee/food and stumbled across the Hotel El Velero which is a cute little boutique hotel right on the beach. From there we headed to Coco beach which is one town south for groceries and other necessities for the week here. After stocking up, we relaxed on the beach for the rest of the afternoon for some much needed R&R. We ended up staying local for dinner and opted for Ginger which my parents and brother had recommended. I would term it as Asian fusion cuisine served tapas style with lots of fresh fish on the menu. It's by far the trendiest Playa Hermosa gets in terms of restaurant scene. Pricey by Costa Rican standards but it's def. worth a try if you are staying here.
